People who support Sarah's Law: Lord Stevens, former Met Police Chief, "Its all about a parents right to protect their child, a Childs right to be safe. If it just saves one child from sex abuse and the lifetime of nightmares that too often follow, then I'm afraid its worth all the inconvenience in the world for the paedophile."
Simon Cowell - American Idol and X-Factor judge, "I totally endorse this campaign. This is something that should be made law. I back Sarah's Law 100 per cent."
Louis Walsh - X-Factor judge, "I think Sarah's Law is a brilliant idea to protect our children from predatory paedophiles and I back the News of the World's campaign and Sara Payne 100 per cent. These people are sick, they don't change, and parents should have the right to know where they are so they can protect their children.

Sir Ronald Waterhouse - Former judge who headed Britain's biggest ever inquiry into child abuse, "I support the principle of Sarah's Law. I sympathise with the concerns of victims and particularly their parents about the idea of an offender returning to communities and being around and about. Unfortunately there is a high proportion of re-offending among paedophile offenders. If the balance can be struck between controlled access of information and stiff penalties for misuse of information it can help parents protect children." (Sir Ronald is author of the North Wales Child Abuse Tribunal of Inquiry "Lost in Care". He made 72 recommendations for the prevention of such abuse).
Bob McLachlan - Former Head of Scotland Yard's Paedophile Squad, "Sarah's Law will enable parents and carers to be vigilant not vigilantes. We've been pushing for Sarah's Law since 2000 and we are still waiting. In America police release relevant and necessary information about moderate to high risk sex offenders living in the community. The aim is to address public concerns and prevent the re-victimisation of children by these registered offenders - so why the hell do we find it so difficult to do that in the UK?"
Carol Vorderman- Broadcaster, I would like to congratulate the News of the World on fighting this campaign for the last six years. Sara Payne is an inspiration to us all for sticking with Sarah's Law and working so hard in the memory of her daughter. Hopefully common sense has seen its way through and Sarah's Law will be the success it always deserved to be. The world of sex offenders is such a disturbing area. There is no logic with these paedophiles, its an obsession and they cannot be cured. They commit such horrendous crimes, they really are horrible. Parents HAVE to be able to protect their children, and Sarah's Law allows parents to have the information to do that.
Chris Tarrant - Broadcaster, I am backing Sarah's Law 100 per cent, absolutely. These paedophiles are really, really sick and we should be aware of where they are. We're allowing too many perverts to wander around and actually be protected. Why would we want to protect these people? I really think we should know where they are because they are not going to get 'better'. You can't say, 'He used to be a paedophile but he's fine now'.
Chris Ryan- SAS , hero, "As a parent I believe that we should know where paedophiles are. When a paedophile commits a crime he should forfeit his right to privacy."
